Overview
The idea is simple and it works: a 150-metre picture frame standing between the two halves of the city. Look north and you get Deira, the creek and the older grid. Turn around and it is Downtown, Burj Khalifa and the skyline the city is famous for. The sky bridge has a glass panel that turns opaque and clear as you walk over it, which children either love or refuse outright. Go an hour before sunset for the best light in both directions.
